Antique sextant by  John Lilley & Son Ltd, South Sheilds.  

A mid 20th Century Antique micrometer Sextant with the classic three ring frame design. Engraved on the arc John Lilley & Son Ltd, South Sheilds.  

The silver scale is engraved from -12  degrees to 135 degrees and can measure angles to 135 degrees, it is divided into 10 minute increments. The index arm is fitted with the micrometer fine adjustment dial. This sextant also has the original battery operated night time illumination fitted. There is also a certificate of examination by Henry Hughes& Son Ltd, London dated Dec 1938 contained within the box.

This sextant has a 6.5 inch radius.

This antique Sextant is in superb condition and contained within its original box. It comes complete with all its accessories - two telescopes, telescope sun filter, mirror adjusting tool and oil bottle.
